About The Event
Jay Yoder: A nationally touring stand-up comedian and an educator of 20+ years. His comedy draws from parenting, teaching, and everyday chaos, blending sharp storytelling with big, relatable laughs. He performs regularly at Soul Joel’s when he is not on the road with the Bored Teachers Comedy Tour.
Jamal Russel: Based in Washington, D.C., Jamal was a top-three finalist in Don’t Tell Comedy’s inaugural 2025 national competition and one of only 40 comics selected for NBC’s Comedy Hour showcase this year. Jamal performs regularly at the D.C. Improv and has opened for Ian Lara and Dave Attell.
