After having been voted “one of Baltimore’s funniest young comedians… in 1984” Lon abruptly retired from Comedy to raise a family and pursue a career in healthcare focusing on population health. Now, known as the Retired Comic he is back enjoying a renaissance as a professional comedian regularly working the Magooby’s Joke House (Baltimore, MD); The DC IMprov (Washington, DC); Church of Satire (Hanover, PA); Dream Big Venues (Delmar, DE); The Caravan (Louisville, KY); Snappers (Palm Harbor and Fort Myers, Florida) as well as private 55+/Retirement Communities and fundraising events on the Eastern Seaboard.

On a serious note, he is recognized nationally for his “Let HUMOR Work!” philosophy of focusing on good intentions and communication in all aspects of life, health and wellness. His program “The Funny Thing About Your Health and Wellness!” has been presented at numerous healthcare conferences and will be a feature keynote at the upcoming “2025 Age in Action Conference”…
